The National Industrial Classification (NIC) Code is a classification system used to develop and maintain a comparative database of activities conducted by a business. This code is designed to find out and analyse how each economic activity contributes to national resources. Where is the NIC Code Used ? Udyam Registration: Udyam Registration used to be referred to as Msme Registration earlier. Now, the process for obtaining msme registration has been merged with udyam registration and made completely online by the Government. While applying for udyam or msme, the applicant must provide the NIC code of the business and mobile link aadhar is mandatory of the promoter.
